“Cause love is more precious than gold
It can’t be bought, no, never could be sold
I got love enough to share
That makes me a millionaire”
There are no words to describe how I feel about Laura and Kyle. We met completely by chance when a friend of mine reached out to me to do a rather unorthodox (and completely hilarious) photoshoot for Kyle as a surprise wedding gift for Laura (stay tuned for THAT blogpost soon). Little did he know, she had actually done the same thing for him. I kept both of their surprise “secrets” while counting down the days before I got to share with them how much they both think alike and care so much about each other and keeping life interesting. The reveal did not disappoint and the wedding was no different.
Laura and Kyle are funny, loving and crazy. They are two of the most honest and truly in love people I have ever met in my life (and I do this kind of thing A LOT). They may have started off intending to be roommates but the universe certainly had other plans and these two were made for each other. They’re favorite quote is “Simply out of curiousity” They not only know each other amazingly well but each of them truly cares and takes into account what the other wants in everything they do. To propose to Laura, Kyle put together a scavenger hunt that incorporated the lions of Vultron. Each lion represented each one of their family, them two and their four dogs. Laura had to answer riddles and go to each place to find each lion to get our family back together. The last part of the hunt ended at their home where about 30 of their closest friends and family were there and he surprised her on one knee! It was the sweetest, most thought out proposal Laura had ever seen! And it was hers!
Their wedding day was everything they could have hoped for. Closest family and friends surrounded them with love and laughter. A cousin surprised Laura by attending just hours before shipping off to boot camp, both of Kyle’s grandparents danced the night away and shared advice on a long and happy marriage. Everyone made sure to honor the absence of Laura’s parents by remembering the good things and sharing small moments like her uncle unexpectedly carrying her Dads dog tags with them as he walked her down the aisle. This couple brings everyone that surrounds them together and it is a feeling I just can’t describe. I’m so honored to be a part of capturing their special day and even more to, to call them my friends.
