When someone contacts me about a having a Family session after having a previously not-so-great experience with someone else I always get a little nervous. I NEVER want my clients to have a bad experience and a previous hard one, especially with children (they remember) always makes everything a little more challenging….or so I thought. When Kate called it was meant to be, I’d just had a cancellation, they were in the middle of moving and about to go on vacation and I had the perfect session time for everyone….EXCEPT MOTHER NATURE. It came time to leave for their session and IT WAS POURING, I mean buckets, now I’m always up for some rain and mud and making the best of it but this just wasn’t going to be the best for their family so we rescheduled for the next morning and the whole thing could not have been more perfect….the light…their son Hudson was the BEST and their new daughter Piper, the perfect angel.

Our goal is to tell a story…the story of your family. Who you are today, right now, in this moment. We believe that photography should be fun and feel natural. Having your pictures taken shouldn’t be about having perfect outfits and kids that smile angelically. Your kids are at this age only once and sometimes that means they won’t sit still and smile….and that’s okay!!! We’ll let them have fun, play and be themselves. THAT makes for great photos!
